Chicago native Tyrel Williams joins us on familiar turf with his authentic style. Tyrel is visiting us from San Fran but don't let his laid back demeanor throw you off. He delivers some serious beats for the dance floor so it's best to bring your A-game. Tyrel is a true house music warrior.
Tyrel has been a mainstay of Chicago’s underground House scene for years. He began mixing records in 1999. Soon later he landed a job at Gramaphone Records where he spent the last decade building a mighty collection of 12” dance records. He spent 2009-2011 building his Acid Test residency at Smart Bar, which is an ongoing all vinyl House / Techno weekly dedicated to the true art form of DJing. Guests have included Miles Maeda, IZ and DIZ, Derrick Carter, Tevo Howard, Traxx, and Justin Long. Tyrel has recently moved to San Francisco to take his DJing and producing to the next level.

Sheila aka Shred One, the West Coast boogie queen, rare vinyl digger, and creator of the ShrEDITS. We are honored to have her and she definitely rocks the party. You may have been to her infamous Maxx Traxx party or seen her clean up at a DJ battle or two.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Shred One was constantly surrounded and heavily influenced by music at a very young age as she tagged along with her vinyl collecting brothers. She moved to Brooklyn, NY in '98 where she began collecting her own records and fell in love with the art of deejaying, as well as learning the music industry game working at Rawkus Records and Blacksmith Management. She began spinning out when she moved back to Los Angeles in 2004 and has since played alongside cutting edge artists such as Daz-i-Kue, Dam Funk, 45 King, Talib Kweli, DJ Spinna, & Dj Jazzy Jeff. Now residing in Chicago, she has recently won the Vocalo Quest For The Best DJ competition becoming part of the prestigious radio collective. You can find her spinning boogie & modern funk every 1st Thursday at her residency MAXX TRAXX.
